Today I go in for my Lap-Band consultation, wish me luck! I am ready to change my life for the better, for me. I am so blessed to have a supportive husband who wouldn't want to change anything about me, but wants me to be a happier me.
When I was just three weeks out from surgery... all my knee pain since 2008 vanished. It was like a miracle happened. Then I remembered it was me exercising and being healthy and being happy about exercising and being motivated and following my surgeon's rules....
I highly doubt you'll need a tummy tuck as you are not having gastric bypass but lap band right? Lap banders losing slowly so you should not have much saggy skin unlike gastric bypass folks.
I have rice krispie knees, which I am told is generally a sign of a torn meniscus or lacking cartilage somewhere. It tends to give me trouble after I have been very active, even walking for a long period of time. I'm sure some of the pain will subside with weight loss but I'm not expecting it to go away completely. I have dealt with it skinny and fluffy!
I'm Melissa and I am a mom of two beautiful children. I also have a wonderful, supportive and loving husband. We have a crazy, busy, chaotic life, but we certainly play hard, too. Just living one day at a time!
I see on your goal list... no more knee pain.
